Meeting with H.E. Ms. Anita Nayar, Ambassador of India to Chile – May 2019

We had an engaging meeting with H.E. Ms. Anita Nayar, Ambassador of India to Chile. We discussed India’s current interests in Latin America and the Embassy’s commitment to strengthening relations with La Araucanía and southern Chile in the fields of education, culture, and technology.

In addition, we focused on the “Plan Impulso Araucanía”, which is centered on three key areas: Renewable Energy, Agronomy, and Tourism—all of which are strongly linked to technologies aimed at automating processes and increasing the region’s productivity.

It is worth noting that Temuco is actively working to become a Smart City, evolving toward what is now being called a Sensing City. In this context, it is crucial to foster a strategic partnership with India, given its cost-efficiency, agility, and world-class technological standards.
